Northwestern Health Sciences University Faculty Senate publicly opposes the MN Marriage Amendment

Recently, the inaugural, representative Faculty Senate of Northwestern Health Sciences University voted to accept a resolution to oppose the November election amendment to the Minnesota State Constitution which would define marriage as only between people of opposite gender. Other institution faculties publicly opposing the amendment include St. Olaf, Augsburg, William Mitchell College of Law and the University of Minnesota. Northwestern Health Sciences University, as an institution, does not take a position on the amendment.

The resolution process and the subsequent vote acknowledge a wide range of faculty opinions on the matter. Faculty Affairs Committee, forum, small group and one-on-one meetings between representative senators and members of their constituencies preceded the vote.

If you would like more information about the process or the resolution, please contact Dr. Anita Manne, Chair of the NWHSU Faculty Senate’s Faculty Affairs Committee.

Logan College of Chiropractic Announces Another Undergraduate Partnership

The 3+3 agreement allows students to complete the first three years of undergraduate study (at least 90 semester hours of specific coursework including physics, chemistry and biology) at their undergraduate “home institution,” then transfer to Logan to begin the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program.
