NYCC & SCUHS:Great Colleges to Work For Survey

Two Chiropractic College received recognition in this year’s The Chronicle of Higher Education's Great Colleges to Work For survey, their fifth annual report. The survey is based on responses from nearly 44,000 employees at 310 colleges and universities. All accredited institutions of higher learning in the United States are invited to participate in the study for free. Comprised of two parts: an internal audit of the institution and a list of questions for the faculty, staff and administrators.

New York Chiropractic College
in Seneca Falls New York received Honor Roll recognition in the small college category, only nine others shared that honor. The survey recognized NYCC in 8 out of10 categories, including: Compensation and Benefits, Confidence in Senior Leadership, Facilities and Job Satisfaction.

Southern California University of Health Sciences,
the other chiropractic college included in the report, was commended in three categories: Collaborative Governance, Confidence in Senior Leadership, as well as Respect and Appreciation.

 Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, latest NCBE Part IV Testing Site

Starting in November part IV of the National Boards can be taken at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) board of directors recently voted to open a Part Four Practical Examination at the Port Orange Florida Campus, bringing the new total to 11 testing sites at Chiropractic Colleges.

Twice a year the Part IV practical examination covering x-ray interpretation and diagnosis, chiropractic technique, case management is offered at various Chiropractic Colleges. The NBCE states it is trying to improve access for chiropractic students at two of the newest Chiropractic Colleges in Florida. The additional test site will accommodate 150, most likely chiropractic students from both the Palmer Florida Campus as well as students from National University of Health Sciences doctorate of chiropractic program in St. Petersburg Florida.
