Canadian Beach Volleyball Olympic Hopeful - Chiropractor Josh Binstock

Chiropractor Josh Binstock and his teammate Martin Reader will represent Canada in the Olympic men’s beach volleyball.

Josh Binstock DC started as most young Canadians playing hockey and baseball. During high school felling burned out from AAA hockey and rep baseball he turned to indoor volleyball. While completing an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto the Varsity Blues won the OUA provincial championships 3 times. During the summers he was introduced to beach volleyball and after one year of playing competitively he and his partner won the silver medal at the 2001 Canada games.

While earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College John captured the gold medal at the 2008 Senior Men’s National Championship with Matt Zbyszewski. Dr. Josh Binstock earned a medal in the competition for the next 4 years. Cheer on Team Canada and Chiropractor Josh Binstock at the London Olympics 

Chiropractor Yearning for another Gold in Water Polo, this time as the Coach

Chiropractor Terry Schroeder

California Chiropractor Terry Schroeder is returning to the Olympics for the sixth time in London. Dr. Schroeder won two silver medals in four Olympics as a water polo player for the United States. During the Olympics four years ago in Bejing he led Team USA as the Coach to a silver medal.

"The Olympics really are my drug. I'm addicted. It's a very special thing to compete in a two week period every four years and try to be at your best" said Terry Schroeder DC.

Terry Schroeder holds a place in the Olympic Hall of Fame, USA Water Polo Hall of Fameand was the model for a statue in front of the Los Angeles Coliseum built to for the 1984 Olympics in LA.

"The only thing missing in my Olympic experience is a gold medal. It's the reason that I'm still involved and I know it's the same reason most of these guys are still involved. We want to make it to the top" said Palmer West Graduate Dr Terry Schroeder.

Root for Dr. Schroeder and Team USA  in London starting July 29 with a match against Montenegro.

Chiropractic Student Sprinting Towards the Olympics

Chiropractic Student Sven Knipphals

Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) student Sven Knipphals is on his way to the Olympics. The 24 year old sprinter will represent Germany in the 4x100m relay at the 2012 London Games.

“There would be no greater feeling for me than representing Germany at the Olympics – the biggest stage possible for an athlete,” future chiropractor Sven Knipphals “Having studied in the UK for the past couple of years, there would something extra special about competing in London too.”

According to the AECC Sven will be completing his third year of studies at the AECC over a period of two academic years to give him time to train properly for his athletics and gain the appropriate knowledge and skills he needs to eventually become a qualified chiropractor.

“I would like to specialize in sports injuries treatment and also work with athletes to help enhance performance through the use of chiropractic.” 2012 Olympic sprinter Sven Knipphals
